Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM)

STEM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths as access points for guiding students inquiry, dialogue and critical thinking.  The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration and work through the creative process.  These are the innovators, educators, leaders and learners of the 21st century!

STEM learning and understanding plays a significant role in our school culture. We want to assist our students in becoming active questioners, scientific inquirers and skilled investigators. We encourage a climate of questioning and inquiry through the four areas of science understanding: Chemical, Biological, Physical and Earth and Space Sciences.

Through science as a context for learning, students are able to develop an understanding of the world in which they live, engage in collaborative science investigations and creatively explore through sensory science experiences.
