At Warringa Park School we have a one-to-one iPad program for our staff and students, which is now in its fifth year.  The iPad is integrated into teaching and learning and supports students to achieve improved learning outcomes in English, Mathematics and Science. It is an extremely intuitive, accessible and inclusive device, which provides opportunities for learning that were not previously possible.

Instructional experiences are being enhanced across a broad curriculum by applications that create many opportunities to modify and redefine learning, such as FaceTime, iMovie, Book Creator, Stop Motion and iBooks Author. The iPad provides an engaging, personalised platform for students to engage, learn, create, communicate and connect.

A number of classes across the Early Years, Multimedia and Middle Years Learning Centres also participate in focused eLearning sessions each week, where students learn how to use and layer a combination of different iPad applications to create and share their own exciting content.  This helps to facilitate the expression of students’ individuality and creativity, whilst developing a broad range of technology skills.

Warringa Park School is an Apple Distinguished School and we regularly host many visitors from across the globe.  If you are interested in visiting us or finding out more about how the iPad is transforming learning for our students, please email Meagan Rettallick, Leading Teacher, eLearning.
