Health and Physical Education

Physical activity is a great way to improve mood, concentration, perseverance, wellbeing and help reinforce a positive self image. Movement is an important part of self-expression and students are given individual goals based on their needs and ability. Students are supported to engage in movement activities, group games, and coordination exercises in a range of environments. The campus offers state-of-the-art facilities that include a gym, climbing wall, Perceptual Motor Zone, play yards, fitness zone, musical garden and a trampoline.  There is a perceptual motor program for students that require active assistance in order to accomplish their physical goals and the Perceptual Motor Zone (PMP) is an area students are able to go during outside play for a safe and engaging environment. We encourage parents and carers to support their children in their active endeavours and to provide healthy food for optimal performance during the day.

Health and Physical Education

Physical activity provides children with opportunities for enjoyment, challenge, self- expression, and social interaction. Increased physical fitness improves heart/lung function, reduces body fat and decreases the risks associated with unhealthy lifestyles. Physical activity can also increase vigour and promote clear thinking.
