Multimedia Learning Centre

The Multimedia Learning Centre is a supportive, creative environment where students participate in learning that prioritizes their individual needs and enables academic, physical and social achievement. Our 1:1 iPad program ensures that all students can access the iPad as a tool for exploring, creating, communicating and acquiring knowledge. Our curriculum planning is guided by the Ausvels Curriculum.  There is a focus on History, Geography, Science and STEAM through a different Inquiry each term in conjunction with our Maths and English programs. Our students also have a weekly program including a range of engaging specialist subjects – Music, Art, PE and Performing Arts.

Planning and assessment is curriculum based and the activities we provide for students are rich in content, differentiated for all abilities and planned with the philosophy that students’ interests, understandings and questions are an essential consideration. iPad learning is enhanced by concrete, hands-on experiences in all subject areas. A digital overview of learning to take home is created every term – the ePortfolio and where appropriate, created with the input of students.

We have a technology rich environment for learning, and student achievement is promoted and celebrated.  Our planning and assessment is informed by a collaborative team approach which, in turn, is underpinned by research-based strategies.

The Multimedia Learning Centre’s learning programs give our students the opportunity to achieve to the best of their abilities.
