Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is concerned with a person’s ability to participate
in daily life activities, or ‘occupations’, and aims to improve the student’s
performance of tasks and activities that are important for success at school,
with a focus on independence and meaningful activity.
At
The occupational therapists assist students to improve their performance
in a variety of areas, including fine motor skills, social skills, daily living
skills, and sensory programs by assisting students to generalise and break down
core skills so they can reach their full potential.
OT's are also available to assist families in planning home modifications
and accessing funding for wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
