The Later Years

The later years’ physical education program extends the skill development of previous years, while focussing on leadership qualities and healthy living choices. Students in the later years’ program engage in a range of physical education activities, which are structured around the interschool sports calendar.

Physical Education Camps

The Warringa Park participates in a number of outdoor education, and physical education camps. Annually we participate in the Alpine 100 bike ride from Beechworth to Bright, the Blackwood super ride and Ski camp to Falls Creek.

Interschool Sport

Warringa Park School students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of interschool sports, such as cricket, netball, lawn bowls and football. Teams are chosen from section two and three students, with an emphasis on participation and good sportsmanship.

The Good Sports Program

The good sports program at Warringa Park gives students the opportunity to participate in weekly extension physical education by demonstrating good sportsmanship and behaviour throughout the school. Students choose the activities, set up and co-ordinate the games under the supervision of PE staff.

Lunchtime Activities

Students at Warringa Park School have daily choices about lunchtime engaged play activities. Options range from trampolining and bike riding to computer games and hair dressing. These activities provide an alternative to the yard, and provide more healthy options for our students to spend their time.
